      • Acne: Persistent and often severe acne, especially on the face, chest, and upper back.
      • Hair loss (Androgenic Alopecia): Thinning hair or hair loss on the scalp.
      • Polycystic Ovaries: The ovaries may be enlarged and contain multiple small cysts (fluid-filled sacs). This is often detected via ultrasound.
• Weight Gain: Many women with PCOS experience weight gain or find it difficult to lose weight, especially around the abdomen.
• Insulin Resistance: This can lead to higher insulin levels, and in some cases, type 2 diabetes. Symptoms may include fatigue, sugar cravings, and difficulty managing blood sugar levels.
• Infertility: PCOS is a leading cause of infertility due to irregular ovulation or lack of ovulation.
• Mood Changes: Women with PCOS may be at a higher risk of experiencing mood swings, depression, and anxiety.
• Pelvic Pain: Some women may experience pelvic discomfort or pain, often linked to their menstrual cycle or the presence of ovarian cysts.

Not every woman with PCOS will have all these symptoms, and the severity can vary from person to person.
